With gas and oil prices rising on a daily basis, it is only natural to seek out and find an alternative. This is especially important when you are dealing with online companies that are selling e-bikes and e-scooters. If you happen to find a negative comment or two, don't freak out because there are always people that have negative things to say. However, if you see loads of bad comments it may be well advised to skip that company or business.

Electric Bike and Electric Scooter Consideration #9 - Terrain Let's face it, unless you live in Oklahoma or North Dakota where the terrain is really flat, you will need to consider hills and their steepness. If you weigh right around 190 lbs. and you are going to be hitting hills, you will probably need a 300 plus watt electric motor. Just remember, if you weigh more get a higher wattage. If you are in a cold climate especially, where it is really cold, there is definitely an effect on a batteries range. The same could also be said about excessive heat. Another thing you have to think about is rain. Most electric motors have a problem with it and the motor can be damaged. However, for a little more money you can purchase an electric motorized bike or scooter that have water proof motors.

Electric Bike and Electric Scooter Consideration # 7 - Weight, Storage and Portability You also need to consider where you will store your electric scooter or electric bicycle. Electric folding bikes and electric folding scooters are great to have because they fold down and you can almost stick some of them into a closet. (If it is big enough!) Also, if you are going to be loading your electric powered vehicle onto a car or a van you will have to consider that weight and size as well.

Electric Bike and Electric Scooter Consideration # 6 - Age that is Recommended Most local laws require that children under the age of 12 should not ride electric motorized scooters or gas ones for that matter! Please adhere to the manufacturers recommended riding age.
