Solar Panel KitsSolar Workshop Kit Review
Solar Energy Kits When I was a kid, back in the 1960's and 1970's (I know, back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth…Yuk ….Yuk) there were a whole host of companies that sold you do it yourself kits. If you couldn't buy a do it yourself kit, then you had to figure out how to do it yourself. I remember once, my best friend Byron built a rocket on a workbench in his garage and then later he even built a small flamethrower (very dangerous). His Dad literally threw a fit when we started shooting flames across the backyard. But as I was saying before, you could buy kits of various sorts and some of them are still in business today. The Heath Company sold radio kits that you could build, but I don't think they sell them anymore. Something to do with the fact that kids do not want to do anything but play video games. I know that the Estes Rocket Company still sells rocket kits like they did when we were kids and we had a blast with them (no pun intended). Since this is a site that tries to promote every kind of alternative energy product under the sun, I decided that it would be cool to show you some of the kits that are out there that you can buy for kids that involve solar energy. Given the fact that this type of energy is becoming extremely popular as an alternative to heating and cooling homes and some of their utilities, why not write a review on some of these products? Not a bad idea, so here are a few reviews. Thames& Kosmos Physics Solar Workshop " The ad copy for this kit reads: Learn how solar cells transform light into electrical energy - and how motors and mechanical devices can optimize this energy. It just may be the power of the future! Now here is a product that could keep a young person busy, if they like to work with their hands. This is the Thames& Kosmos Physics Solar Workshop, a hands-on solar energy kit that can accommodate 30 different types of experiments. You can build up to 12 different types of models, including a solar powered tractor, truck, treaded vehicle, car elevator, drawbridge, fan, airplane and even more stuff. Now, from a survey that I read awhile back, Americans hate reading directions, but if you are into learning about alternative energy then using the 64-page manual will be a breeze for you. is quickly emerging as a world leader of technology..
