The Garmin gpsmap 76 gpsRE: A Review of the Garmin gpsmap 76 gps Usually I am not a big fan of GPS systems because I usually have a friend or family member that will help me navigate to where I need to go. However, this is one time I must make an absolute exception. This has got to be one of the coolest products on the planet and he must have for any electric motorized like enthusiast or electric motorized scooter fan. This is the Garmin GPSMAP 76 GPS System. I think the reason I like this GPS System so much is because it is almost as if you were James Bond! Actually, back in the 1960s when I first started watching James Bond movies, I think 007 would have been happy to have had a Garmin GPSMAP 76 GPS System. Not only will you know exactly where you are, but you can also connect to a PC and upload other mapping features. I mean, this is cutting edge technology and a must for anyone that does a lot of bike or scooter riding. There is no setup involved with this unit and all you have to do is plug-in a couple of AA sized batteries and you're ready to go ... The gpsmap 76 is lightweight (only about 8 oz.) and can fit into the palm of your hand very easily. There is no setup involved with this unit and all you have to do is plug-in a couple of AA sized batteries and you're ready to go. The unit has a great backlit display and give you your detailed location on a map that shows major roads, railroads lakes, rivers and it even has a high-level worldwide map. Another great feature of this Garmin Gpsmap 76 Gps System is the fact that it also has 8MB of memory which allows you to store maps from other CD-ROMs which include topographical maps, marine cartography maps, city maps that have detailed information on points of interest and all of the city streets. There are extra cool features for information such as tides, sunrise and sunset and it even let you know how far you've traveled. Even though I don't normally use GPS systems the Garmin Gpsmap 76 Gps was very easy for me to learn and gave me all sorts of simple directions to follow. You can just use the buttons to set and name waypoints and to think about and build your routes. I went for a two-mile walk while I was evaluating this GPS system just to see how it would work and flawlessly told me exactly where I was and how to get back to my point of origination. It allows you to zoom in on the street you were on and see a detailed map of the street and exactly where to go! One of the things I like about it so much, was it had a cool feature on called zoom in and zoom out. This allowed you to zoom in on the street you were on and see a detailed map of the street and exactly where to go. To me, this is one of the best features of the Garmin Gpsmap 76 Gps system because I do a lot of hiking as well as electric biking and I think this is a great way to know exactly where I am an all-times. There is no doubt in my mind that this is one of the most powerful inconvenient navigation tools on the market today.
