Everyday Maintenance for Electric Scooters

I remember that back when I was a kid, there was this other kid on the block named Ralph that go this really expensive bike for his birthday. All of the kids in the neighborhood, including me were deathly jealous of Ralph and would frequently ask him if we could ride it. However, that envy was short lived, because after a few months the bike was trashed and in just six short months it wasn't worth a thing to anyone. You see, Ralph left the bike out in the rain, never oiled it, never wiped water off of it cleaned it, or did any maintenance on I at all. By the end of the summer, it was all messed up.

One of the cool things about electric vehicles is that they are far lower on maintenance........

One of the cool things about electric vehicles is that they are far lower on maintenence than their regular gas counterparts. There are no filter changes, oil changes, or any of the usual crap that you have to do to a regular electric vehicle. This is one of the reasons why electric cars were very unpopular to sell with most car dealerships, because there was very litle maintenance.

You can have your electric motorized scooter for a very long time if you take good care of it

Despite all of this, you still have to take care of your electric scooter, so what I'm about to show you is a listing of all of the things that you wil have to do on a daily basis to take care of one. You can have your electric motorized scooter for a very long time if you take good care of it and that will translate into a serious money savings in the short and long run.

Everyday, you should do the following before riding:

1. Walk around your vehicle at least once. Note! I took an advanced driving class once and the first thing they told you to do was walk around the entire vehicle. You woldn't believe the things that get left behind your vehicle like toys, bikes and cats. So walk around all of your vehicles before riing them.

2. Make sure the batteries are charged and can carry a good charge. You don't want to get stuck somewhere and not have batteries that are not carrying a charge. Note: Batteries should be allowed to cool down before you recharge them. They can explode if not taken care of properly.

3. Check your tires and tire pressure. Make sure there are no sharp objects in them. This is very important for wo wheeled vehicles because a blow out can be devastating.

4. Check your breaks. If your break lever is touching the handlebar, then they will need to be adjusted. Make sure the pads are not worn down too. If so, replace them.

Most people buy electric scooters, electric bikes or even electric cars because they want to save money. You won't be saving much if you don't take good care of your electric vehicle. Be vigilant and careful when riding and always wear a helmut for safety.
