The Giant Twist Freedom Ebike -a Marvel to Behold
March, 2008 - a new Electric bike hit the market that has stunned the
ebike world, the Giant Twist Freedom DX Bicycle. This new marvel of electric
bike technology can take riders as far as 75 miles on a single charge,
which despite the Giant's $2000 price tag is still a rather attractive
option.
One of the cool things about the Giant is that the motor can be set to
run in one of 3 modes Eco, Sport and normal. The Eco, mode is what I like
to refer to as the exercise mode because it relies mostly on pedaling.
The Sport mode helps you ride and give your legs a break while the normal
mode lets you ride on pure voltage.
If you think that the $2000 price tag is ridiculous, consider
this; this is an ebike that has a power assist function that is a real
marvel. It has an integrated torque assist sensor that measures the amount
of strength that you are puttng into pedaling and then gives you just
the right amount of assist. From some of the reviews that I have read,
it is pretty straight forward and easy to use the assist.

When you approach a hill, the sensor detects a change in your pedaling
and kicks in with the extra power that you need. Most of the people interviewed
after using the Giant ebike will tell you that even though they are usually
peddaling through out the entire process, the ride is usually easy and
sweatless requiring very little effort. People that have tested the Giant
have stated that it was one of the easiest rides that they have ever been
on. So, in conclusion would say that if you want an electric bike that
will perform incredibly well, providing you with a long and pleasurable
ride, the Giant Twist Freedom DX Electric Bicycle is for you.
