OK, in the world of electric bicycles there are industry standards that are so good and reasonably priced that just about everyone is either selling them or endorsing them. One of the industry standards out there is the E-Zip Mountain Trailz Electric Bicycle.

Not to complain about this company, because all of the electric bike manufacturers boast their longer distances because of the testing under ideal conditions.

However, if you have a 15 mile radius under a single charge, then this e-bike should fill the bill. Another thing that you will have to consider is your weight because that will cause a considerable change in your range and the bike is not designed for people over 230 lbs. The E-Zip boasts 7 gears, but most of you will probably only use 4 of them, it's just like any other product you would buy, the more features an item has the more people are likely to buy it. Who knows, perhaps you will find a use for the other 3 gears.

If you get your E-Zip electric bike delivered to you, it will take you an hour or two to get it put together. It is pretty easy to put together and most of what you will have to assemble will be the larger parts and nothing very small. I know a person that has zero mechanical skills and got it all assembled in two hours and they didn't even know where all of their tools were! If you use the E-Zip normally, it will take you about 4 hours to get it fully recharged but if you really drain the battery it will be more like 6. This is pretty much the norm for electric bicycles in this class. One of the best things about this electric motorized bicycle is the price. Most retailers have it priced at $350 which is a real good value for an electric bicycle, when you consider the fact that electric bike conversion kits will run you at least that much for the cheapest kit.
